When Your Business Becomes Your Biggest Trigger: Understanding Attachment Patterns in Leadership, Stress, and Decision-Making

In our last presentation, we talked about imposter syndrome and how self-doubt can activate our nervous system under pressure. We explored what happens in the body when we feel exposed, uncertain, or not enough.

This time, we’re pulling the lens back even further. Because those stress responses did not start in your business. They were shaped much earlier. The experiences we had growing up helped form core beliefs about who we are, how safe it is to be seen, and what we need to do to feel secure or valued.

When you run a business, those same patterns often get activated. A slow month can feel deeply personal. Feedback can hit harder than it should. Delegating, setting boundaries, or raising prices can stir up more emotion than expected.

This presentation explores how early relationship patterns influence our nervous system, our leadership style, and the decisions we make under stress. Attendees will gain insight into why business can feel so personal and walk away with practical ways to lead with more steadiness and clarity.
