Fort Erie Celebrates Grand Opening of $3 Million Facility

Holland Power Services unveils their new 13,000 sq. ft. facility

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FORT ERIE (August 13, 2024)—The Town of Fort Erie is thrilled to announce the official unveiling of Holland Power Services’ new 13,000 sq. ft. facility, which represents a significant $3 million investment in our local economy.

Holland Power Services (HPS) is a Canadian company that provides emergency power restoration services, usually due to severe weather events. HPS maintains a fleet of over 425 line trucks with locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Maine. HPS currently has 120 full-time employees and 1,500 casual employees available for on-call storm restoration.

In March 2022, HPS purchased approximately (6) six acres of vacant industrial land at 2626 Winger Road in Stevensville. HPS has experienced significant growth in recent years, mainly due to weather events and wanted to open a location in the Niagara Region near the Canada-US border.

This investment aligns with Fort Erie’s strategic goals to diversify the local economy and support sustainable, long-term growth. The new facility is a significant investment for Fort Erie and the Niagara Region.

The Town of Fort Erie would like to express its gratitude to Holland Power Services and the individuals, businesses, and organizations involved in this development investment.
