Joining the Chamber board in 2014, Jonathan will begin his second term as Chamber President. As General Manager of Travelodge-By-the-Falls, he brings 27 year’s experience from the hospitality industry and volunteer experience from St. Paul’s Church Council, Scout Leader, member of the Niagara South Coast Association and Niagara Sport Commission.
As a Financial Services Specialist at PenFinancial Credit Union in Fort Erie, Maureen joined the Board of Directors in 2015 and is excited to begin serving her first term as Chamber Vice President. Her personal volunteerism includes associations with the Head Injury Association, WARM, COPE, Salvation Army, Friends of 6218 and she looks forward to continuing to serve the business community.
As the Office Manager of the Business Success & Loan Centre Fort Erie, Steve brings a wealth of business and financial experience to the Chamber table. A director since 2014, and acting chair of the Business & Government Affairs committee, this year Steve will continue his role as Chamber Treasurer. His volunteerism includes Lions Club, Rotary Club, Ontario Slo-Pitch, Canadian Cancer Society, and Family & Children Services Foundation.
A lifelong resident of Greater Fort Erie, Natalie, of Miller’s Auto Recycling (1992) Ltd., is thrilled to bring her management, team building, finance and strategic planning skills to the Chamber Board this year, where she will fulfill her desire to become more involved and connect with our business community and members. She looks forward to beginning her first term as Chamber Secretary.
Dolores brings over 25 years of experience to her role of Executive Director of the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce. Her experience and passion for community and economic development help her to guide the initiatives of the Chamber to best serve its members and the community of Fort Erie.
Gary L. Pollard
Gary is the Director of Business Development for Pollard Windows Inc.. Gary began working full time for Pollard Windows Inc. 30 years ago after completing a Business Diploma program at Sheridan College. He has worked as a Sales Consultant, Service Manager and most recently has been the head of the U.S. office for 20 years. As a new director to our Fort Erie Board, we look forward to Gary’s involvement!
As the Financial Services and Small Business Advisor at the Fort Erie branch of Meridian Credit Union, Adam became a Chamber director in 2014 and brings an array of business, communication, and interpersonal skills to his role. Other community service includes coach of Greater Fort Erie Youth Soccer, board member of the Ashford Hollow Foundation (Griffis Sculpture Park & Essex Arts Center).
Barb, a real estate representative with Century 21 Today Realty Ltd., returns to the board for her second term (following a hiatus from 2009). With an ardent desire to give back to the community, Barb brings with her experience, education and sound knowledge of board governance, finance, strategic planning, communications and business management.
John Van Brussel
A firm believer in giving back to the community, John joined the Board in 2015 and is excited to begin his third term as a Director. As President of Veneer Systems Inc. (a wood veneer equipment & sales business), he brings international partnership experience, labour relations, communications &information technology skills to the board. His community involvement includes GREYSC, FEMHA, YMCA Basketball and Italo-Canadian Hall.
With previous experience working for a local Chamber of Commerce, and her current role as Communications Coordinator with Airbus Helicopters, Laura Scott will be a wonderful addition to the Board of Directors. Laura’s extensive corporate and communication experience will allow us to continue to develop strategic partnerships to build successful networking opportunities for our members.
As General Manager of the Buffalo Canoe Club, Rob joins our Board in 2017 and brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate governance and strategic planning. Rob has recently begun to pursue his Masters in Sports Management with his thesis focusing on Governance in Not-for-Profits. Rob’s experience in business, volunteerism and expertise in governance will be an asset to the Board of Directors!
