New Family Physician Joins Welland Community: Dr. Chigozie Efika Opens Practice at Welland Family Doctors and Walk-In Clinic
WELLAND, ON – The Welland Family Doctors and Walk-In Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Chigozie Efika, an experienced and compassionate family physician, will be opening her new family practice on July 2, 2025, at the clinic’s location at 3 Cross Street, Unit 301, Welland, Ontario.
Dr. Efika’s practice will offer comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive services, chronic disease management, women’s health, mental health support, and same-day care for urgent needs. Her arrival brings expanded access to timely, patient-centred healthcare in the Welland area.
About Dr. Chigozie Efika As a seasoned family physician with over a decade of experience, Dr. Chigozie Efika is dedicated to delivering top-notch medical care with empathy and understanding. Her medical journey began in Nigeria, where she earned her degree and honed her clinical skills through years of hands-on practice. She later relocated to the United Kingdom, where she expanded her expertise through postgraduate training and earned Membership in the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Her passion for women’s health also led her to attain membership in the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH). Dr. Efika is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care and is known for her warm, approachable manner. Enthusiastic and motivated, she continually seeks innovative ways to improve healthcare delivery and make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of her patients. “I am truly excited to begin this next chapter in Welland,” said Dr. Efika. “My goal is to support families and individuals by providing accessible, personalized care that meets their unique health needs.”
Now Accepting Patients Dr. Efika’s practice will be accepting new patients starting July 2, 2025, and registration is now open. Individuals and families in the Niagara region looking for a family physician are encouraged to contact the clinic for more information.
